Join StarWars Day Server Event 2015

Thank you for entering the form!

The event will be at 4:00 May 4th, Monday. Your instructions for joining will be different depending on your options, so some of this you may want to skip through. I am using a thing called the Technic Launcher, which lets me put a bunch of mods together into a modpack, then distribute it easily. The Technic Launcher does exactly what the vanilla launcher does. You can use it to play vanilla, if you wanted, but it is mostly used for playing modpacks made by other users. It is completely safe to install this launcher and my modpack!

Installing the launcher: To install the modpack, you will need to go to TechnicPack.net, where you can download the version that is for your computer system. One done, launch the file. It will open the launcher, and ask you to login. Login with your Minecraft account data (sometimes the launcher will take a bit to open). Now, at the top tabs, go to the modpacks tab. That's it, you have it installed. Next, you will install the Separatist modpack or the Republic modpack, depending which side you are on.

Installing the Separatist side modpack

Copy this: http://api.technicpack.net/modpack/separatist-side-starwars Then, on the modpacks tab of the Technic Launcher, paste it into the search bar. Now, hit the install button on the right side of the window. After it is done installing, you can hit play at any time. It is recommended that you download it before you play, so that you do not have to wait for it to download later. Anytime you want to play, it will be in the modpacks tab. After hitting play, once Minecraft opens, press play on the Minecraft main screen. Then, press multiplayer. Join the server that is listed there, and you are all set!

Installing the Republic side modpack

Copy this: http://api.technicpack.net/modpack/republic-side-starwars Then, on the modpacks tab of the Technic Launcher, paste it into the search bar.

Joining the Teamspeak server.

If you are going to be talking, then follow these steps. If you are not going to talk or listen, ignore this (though it may be hard for you to play if you do not at least listen). Click here, and download the version of Teamspeak for your operating system (make sure you get the client version!). Agree to the terms, then it will start the download. Once it is done downloading, run it. Click next, agree to the license, click next, then next again. Leave the install location as the default, and press next again, then press next again. Ignore the Overwolf thing, and click next without installing it. Then, press install. Once done, press finish. Then, Teamspeak will launch the setup wizard. When choosing your nickname, make it the same as your Minecraft username. Leave the push-to-talk setting as the same, you will change it to continuous transmission later. Then, do the test, and press next. Leave the mute key to empty, unless you want a mute key. Then, choose which sound pack you want. Teamspeak 3 will talk when you join a channel, another user joins the channel, a user leaves, etc. You can choose if you want female or male voices. Click next, and deselect the options already selected in the list. Before you join the Teamspeak server, change your microphone settings to continuous transmission by clicking Settings > Options, then pressing to the Capture settings on the sidebar. Just select "Continuous Transmission" as your microphone talking setting. Now, press okay. If you do not want to talk, and just listen, then you can press the mute microphone button near the top of the Teamspeak window.

Now, at the top tab, press connections, then connect. For the server address, paste this in: 198.15.70.250:10003. For the nickname, put in your username. Then, the password is 'StarWars'. You will join the Teamspeak server! In the list of channels, pick the one for your team. If the event has not yet really started, join the general discussion for discussing how to play.
